A table full of ingredients

Did you know that you can suggest an ice cream flavor right on our website? It’s true! We love hearing from fans (that’s you!) about what ice cream concoctions would make your taste buds sing and your spoons jump for joy. But we’ll level with you, sometimes we get flavor suggestions that are, well, unusual. Like sushi ice cream with salmon and seaweed. Or bubble gum ice cream with cotton candy swirls. These are the top 10 weird ingredients that fans keep asking for:

  1. Black Licorice

This is a polarizing flavor — some people love it, some people can’t stand it. (But we’re pretty sure there are more of the latter than the former.)

  2. Root Beer

A soda flavor as an ice cream? We could get on board with this one. Root beer float flavor, perhaps?

  3. Ginger

A little savory zing in your ice cream? This would be tough to pull off, but if anybody could do it, it’s the Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Gurus.

  4. Beets

Beets are naturally sweet, so in theory they could make a nice ice cream flavor. But would anybody buy it? We’re not convinced.

  5. Avocado

A savory ice cream flavor, perhaps? Whoever suggested the sushi flavor would definitely be on board.

  6. Champagne

Cheers to unusual ice cream flavors! This one would only be served in champagne flutes, no exceptions.

  7. Green Tea

We actually used to have a green tea flavor that was only available in Japan. Fire up your time machine and give it a try!

  8. Lavender

We love it in our bouquets, but we’re not sure how it would translate to our bowls. It sure would smell nice though.

  9. Pickles

Did a pregnant person suggest this one? This is probably too weird even for us, but you do you.

  10. Potato Chips

Got the munchies? We feel you. We’ve experimented with potato chips in ice cream in a few flavors, and it’s a hit every time. Sounds like we need to do it again.
